Kikismith

Kiki is the new fragrance from contemporary artist Kiki Smith, designed exclusively for, and in collaboration with, the award-winning French fragrance designer, Christophe Laudamiel. Kiki is a study of balance and contrast and is unashamedly green and fresh while deeply, and unexpectedly, lush, warm and dynamic. Meant to evoke Kiki’s most significant olfactory memories: musks, boxwood, patchouli and Sandalwood next to fresh, ripe foliage and fig leaf notes. The uniquely soothing, enveloping warmth of blue chamomile and the bright and summery smell of narcisse create an incandescent, satisfying and fearless scent that is diffusive and illuminating.

Limited to an edition of 4,000 bottles.

Kiki Smith is one of the most important artists of her generation. Known primarily as a sculptor, she is a self-described “thing-maker” and works in a variety of media including prints, drawings, and photography. From early in her career, Smith’s work has dealt with very human issues including mortality and gender and has evolved to include the animal kingdom and the natural world. Her work can be found in every major contemporary museum collection in the world. She lives and works in New York City.

Christophe Laudamiel has designed fragrances for Clinique, The Estée Lauder Companies, Michael Kors, Harvey Nichols, Tom Ford and Amanda Lepore. He co-authored Polo Blue for Men, Ralph Lauren, the 2003 FIFI Award winner for Men’s Fragrance Star of the Year, and most recently designed the 23 character scents for ScentOpera Green Aria which debuted at the Guggenheim Museum New York in 2009. In partnership with Christoph Hornetz, Mr. Laudamiel forms a Berlin and New York-based duo of avant-garde Scentists® that designed the prestigious 15 scents for Thierry Mugler Parfums’ Le Coffret.
