Chelsea Music Festival NYC, June 12-20, 2015 Air Sculpture® Finnish-Hungarian Osmolanguage #5 is the fourth scent created by Christophe Laudamiel for the festival and is being played in the air via Prolitec®scent players at some of the functions and performances. In a bold move and as a special treat, CMF and DreamAir have decided to divulge the 2015 formula of the scent here, the perfumery equivalent of sheet music in order to educate the public about the art of scent composition. (There was an audible gasp from the audience on opening night!) NOTE: In order to protect know-how, trade secrets and author rights of scents, DreamAir does not support the systematic publication of scent formulas. Scent compositions and smells are offered very little to non-existent protections from the law. However DreamAir does support olfactory education and four formulations for education purposes are now available here.

LOOP by Ev Pommer, Berlin, Germany, May 7 – June 27, 2015 featuring Air Sculpture® MyrrhMetal #4 by Laudamiel. An exercise of style with scents in which: – the woody notes are not natural: they are molecular and created by chemists to mimic different woody effects without actually cutting trees. – the metallic notes are all natural coming mostly from myrrh essence and myrrh superfluid extraction (Ethiopia, Somalia) and from geranium and mango. A scent displayed via Prolitec® scent players, connecting the air inside the loops -aka the viewers’ souls- to the loops themselves. As an olfactive and visual result, woods and metals form one confusingly indifferentiable ensemble.

Unusually (and just like in L’Eau D’Issey), clove and vanillin are used, not for their own sake, but to emphasize the freshness by creating a bigger contrast.

Art Miami with the Dillon Gallery, December 3-8, 2013, BERGAMOT TEA WATER #30 Air Sculpture® creation composed specifically for the Chelsea Music Festival 2013 which featured Italian and English composers this year: Bergamot as the most elegant of all citrus oils, a specialty of Italy and Tea for Britain, of course, but turned “green” for the wave of sustainability we are living at the moment. These are linked together by water since both countries are surrounded by the sea which played an important role in history. Smelling water as you listen provides a new refreshing perspective and a new light to well-known or more obscure pieces of music, as well as a freshness to stuffy concert rooms, theaters or art shows in which the public is “trapped” for 2-3 hours at times. Last but not least: Bergamot essence is the one ingredient used to turn tea into Earl Grey tea.
